I love fire! And, I love fireworks! And in Barcelona, this week is the Festival of Sant Joan. And, it’s all about fire, “He who lights the fire for Sant Joan will not burn all year”. The Sant Joan Festival is in celebration of the solstice, the first day of summer! Summer in Espanol is “Verano”. It’s when the “livin is easy”.
If you are like me, I want to be outside in the summer. I want to be on my terrace or front porch, in the sun, going for a walk, and doing fun activities with friends and family. The last place I want to be is in a hot and humid kitchen, especially since I don’t have air conditioning here in Spain!
